Though down a few blooms this year, the 96th annual Snohomish County Dahlia Society Show was a stunning display of beautiful flowers. On an absolutely gorgeous summer weekend, dozens of exhibitors from around the Northwest brought wonderful exhibits of our favorite flower. Kitsap County Dahlia Society member, Eric Anderson, won the best single bloom entry in the show. His outstanding bloom of Scarborough Brilliant awed the many visitors who viewed the show. Snohomish County member Carol Fiske won the best triple bloom entry with three well matched Castle Drives. Eric Anderson and his wife Janet captured the Best Basket award with a superb exhibit of the little peony, Elvira. Laurie Millard, a novice grower from Puget Sound Dahlia Association, won the Best Arrangement category with an artful display of Porcelain and Urchin.
