Anyone who has grown dahlias for very long is familiar with the Snoho varieties of dahlias originated by Bill and Ida Bonneywell of Snohomish, Washington. Bill and Ida are longtime members of the Snohomish County Dahlia Society and are top show winners around the Pacific Northwest as well as famous originators of new varieties. Not only is their garden our newest featured garden, but Bill also won Best Single Dahlia in Show at the 2004 Snohomish County Dahlia Society Show with a superior bloom of Snoho Joanne (A IC Y) named for their daughter. In addition to growing their own dahlias and seedlings on their large rural lot, they have also made room for a garden for Joanne and three of their grandchildren, Michael, Richard and Krystal Johnson.
